Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what your rights are. I'm Ibraheem Obanla, and I'm responsible for your information. Contact: info@ibraheemobanla.com.
What I collect
- Contact details you give me, such as your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Your messages and the details of what you need, including your course, level and deadline.
- Documents you send me to work on.
- Payment records, such as transfer confirmations and receipts. I never ask for your card details.
- Basic technical data when you visit this website, such as your IP address, which my hosting provider processes to deliver and protect the site.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To provide the work you've asked for, which is necessary to carry out our agreement.
- To keep payment records, as the law requires.
- To keep this website secure and working.
I don't sell your information, and I don't use it for marketing without your permission.
Who processes it
I use a small number of trusted services, which handle data on my behalf:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and handles email delivery.
- Google (Gmail), for email.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact me there.
- Banks, to process transfers.
Some of these providers may store data outside Nigeria or the UK. They are required to protect it to recognised standards.
How long I keep it
- Documents you send for a project are deleted within 90 days of the work being completed, unless you ask me to keep them.
- Messages and contact details are kept while we're working together and for up to two years afterwards, so I can help with follow-up questions.
- Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies, the UK GDPR, you can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email me and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
